I’ve been staying at home since yesterday, and by the looks of it I won’t be going back to work until Monday.
Yesterday whilst taking a bath to get ready for work, I felt a weird growth on my cheek near the ear, where the sideburns are. Instead of heading to the office, I went to the hospital. My doctor told me that it appears to be parotitis, a common symptom for mumps.
So I’m homebound for the rest of the week, not unless I want to risk the fertility of all those single guys in the office who have yet to have children.

Ang tanda mo na, ngayon ka pa lang nagka-mumps. Hihi.
At manakot daw ba ng ibang bachelors about orchitis. Ahahaha.
Don’t worry too much about it. Subsequent sterility from orchitis is actually rare. I think one should even be more aware of the possibility of encephalitis, which occurs relatively more frequently than orchitis. And males are more affected than females O_0

prudence,
Oo nga eh! Ewan ko ba kung saan ko nakuha ito.
Anyway, I’m hoping the antivirals work already. The lump was beginning to get painful this morning.

Ummm… I wonder why I first read it as “patriotitis”.
Hope you get better!
