Just a short rant before we resume regular programming.
To anybody and everybody who is forwarding messages about where the next bomb will explode and when, shut the fuck up and save your load on mushy quotes and jokes instead.
Forwarding messages like that is grossly irresponsible and only contributes to serve terrorism the attention that it does not deserve.
The best way to fight terrorism, aside from being discreetly vigilant, is to continue with our normal lives and refuse to allow terrorists to make us cower and live in fear. Spreading messages, and thus, spreading unwarranted fear, is unhelpful, unproductive, and is tantamount to terrorism itself.
If you receive messages like this, do the responsible thing and delete those messages. They are just as destructive as any bomb blown up in any mall.
P.S. Do you know how utterly idiotic one of the messages were? It said that the targets for a Nov. 1 terrorist attack include the 168 Mall, HSBC, RCBC, and SM Megamall. Idiotic, because on November 1, little or no people will be in those places because a) it’s a public holiday and b) people will be in cemeteries, not offices or malls.
It is absolutely possible an attack may be held in a major cemetery, and Catholics observing the religious holiday should be vigilant about suspicious persons and activities so any such attack can be thwarted and avoided.

Finally, someone speaks! Really don’t get why people are fond of forwarding such messages. When I received the very first “warning” I got, I really gave the forwarder a dose of his own medicine (that is, I “terrorized” him, hehe). Such crude and pointless messages are better deleted.

Way to go, Shari!
Those messages are really annoying. I must have received it several times. I told one of those who sent it to me that I don’t believe that could have come from a reliable source and just deleted the message.
Yup, I couldn’t really understand those who forwarded those messages. And some even posted in on their blogs or forums to “inform” other people. Imagine that!

not only bomb scare texts are annoying but also the chain messages and those that threaten you or your loved ones to die if you don’t respond. utter stupidity I may say.
