Making cuteness with a 2-year-old kid

August 17th, 2007 · 8 Comments

I’ve meant to post these pics before the circus came to town, and now that the festivities are over, I’d like to talk about how to make cuteness with a 2-year-old kid!

I have to consult my mother, who took these pictures, with regards whether those poses were coached by her or anybody in the room. Otherwise it might be considered unethical photography, or a misrepresentation of 2 year old cuteness.

DISCLOSURE: Sarong from a forgotten stall in 168 Mall, Divisoria. Electric fan from SM Appliance Center. Vertical blinds from a forgotten shop in the razed and now demolished MC Home Depot in Mantrade. This post is in no way sponsored by the above merchandisers and this blogger will in no way profit, whether in cash or in kind, from the said entities.

My child, Carla Jacqueline Limjap, was in no way coerced nor abused in the taking of these photos. However she does not have the ability as yet to express approval or disapproval as to the fair use of these photos in this blog posting, and as such, parental discretion was used by me, Jacinto Limjap Jr., father, in the posting of these shots.

These photographs may in no way be used for purposes other than showing how early my child has learned to cam-whore. As of writing we have yet to determine where she got this trait from, but based on historical evidence, she probably got it from me.

The complete set of pictures (there are more!) can be viewed by clicking here.

Thank you!

    Sam,

    She’s so cute! :)

While I was looking at the pics, the first thought that came to mind was that she was wearing a malong. As I scrolled down, I read in your description that it was a sarong. Any difference between a sarong and a malong? Sorry, Pilipino ako pero di ko alam ang difference, hehe. Care to enlighten me?

I also have a 5 yr old daughter, and she is such a joy to watch. She also likes posing for the camera. Thank goodness we have digital photography nowadays, so that we can just click away to our heart’s content.

I have advised watson to watermark the photos that he posts in his blog. I will do the same with you. Images can be googled, photobucket(ed) and used by other people without your knowledge.

I am not talking about copyright here. May mga child porn websites na nagkokolekta ng mga retrato ng bata. And you know how photoshop works.

See to it that the watermark is done in such a way that the photo can just be cropped and the caption and watermark is removed.

    Ca t,

Tinatamad lang akong lagyan ng watermark or caption, pero tinamad ako. Salbaheng magulang — hehehehe.

    ems,

    I’ll email you soon. :)

    kathy,

Yup yup, thank god to digital photography! Otherwise I would be buying 6 packs of Kodak MAX film every week and having those pictures printed at around 500 (per 36 shots) every so often! Laking tipid ng digital photos.

Problem now is storage. They’re filling up my harddrives! Hahahaha!

    kathy,

Oh yeah, I found out that malong and sarong are really just one and the same — malong just happens to be the Maranaw name :)
