Prudence tagged me on this, so here goes…
What makes your blog unique?
I think it’s the only blog around that delves on the use of the Filipino language, which I believe is underdeveloped and holds a lot of potential if used properly.
I’m sure there are others that actually discuss about this, and those that do in greater depth no doubt (I have to admit that I am merely an “armchair linguist”), but maybe I just haven’t seen their blog. Or maybe they don’t blog, which would be a pity; blogging would be a great way to use and develop the language.
When did you start blogging?
April 20, 2005, in Friendster.
What do you hope to accomplish with your blog?
To make people think — that’s why a lot of my blog titles are in question form.
It’s as simple as that
What are your feelings on the “blog popularity” issue?
I’ll be lying if I said that I didn’t care about the popularity of my blog; however I’m not all that affected when my popularity dips. I’m more concerned about the quality of a blog than its popularity, and I’d rather have long periods without posts than rambling nonsense (although I do that sometimes) or copy-pasting petty forwarded emails.
What’s your favorite childhood memory?
That Philippine Air Force Air Show in Villamor Airbase my dad took me to. Probably another reason for my pilot-wannabeing.
Are you a spiritual person?
Yes. I’d like to believe that I’m more spiritual than I am religious.
Do your moral values affect the way that you blog, and if yes, how?
Of course; I don’t think morality is an extricable aspect of any writer’s pieces. People write about opinions; opinions are based on one’s beliefs and values, and moral values play a crucial role in opinion formation.
As much as possible I don’t want impose my moral values on others though, because I believe it is an act which is the root of all conflict in the world.

Thanks for answering the tag
I do like visiting blogs that makes one think. And I think this blog is one of those.
It’s hard to be shelling out all quality blog posts all the time. Sometimes all we can breathe out are those mundane things that happen in everyday life. But those can still be significant, isn’t? And, yeah, I do hate reading posts with forwarded email contents. Except maybe when that forwarded email is sensible.
Aha, another one who loves getting feet off the ground. Why don’t you take flying lessons?
Yes, imposing our moral values on others can result in conflicts. And yet I believe there are still universal values.

Yeah talk about having to shell out quality blog posts + dealing with your day job. Madalas kurtang-kurta na yung utak mo wala ka nang maisulat. Eh yung day job ko pa naman sa IT, it’s a 9-6 job that usually becomes 9-9/9-10.
Flying lessons? First: their expensive. Second: they take a lot of time. Third: If I’m going to take them I’m gonna do it as part of a career shift. Fourth: It just might happen. Depends on the situation. We’ll see
We may believe that there are such things as universal values but not even the 10 commandments can define those values properly. So I don’t really don’t know.

Morality has been misused a lot as a term that most decent people would probably associate better with “ethics”.
