The US government’s reaction to China’s test of an anti-satellite missile is ironic, to say the least, if not downright laughable.
While critics might call the action “aggressive” and some American senators condemn the action saying it is a “threat” that might lead to a pursuance of the militarization of space, one might beg to ask: Who put up all those military surveillance satellites up there in the first place?
And while US politicians might brand China as aggressive, one should likewise beg to ask: who owns the most military bases across the globe, has naval and air forces in all seven seas, and initiated wars and regularly conduct military operations in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Somalia?
Certainly not China.
