Warning: foul language ahead
One of the more interesting stories I came across the Inquirer today is PAL pulling out of Laoag because of bullying.
Of course it’s not just any bully. The person alleged to have bullied a PAL employee for initially disallowing them to board their flight is none other than former Laoag mayor Roger Fariñas.
Ah, that last name. Always rings a bell in my head, and is synonymous to “troublemaker,” “asshole,” “gun-totting goon,” “trapo,” “guy who uses his gun to lengthen his vienna sausage” etc.
Apparently, his wife and her secretary were to board the flight, but the tickets that they had were named under the Fariñas’ daughters. The employee didn’t allow them to board the flight because it was against company policy (and against the policy of any other airline anywhere in the world, for that matter) to let passengers board using tickets not named to them.
The former mayor threatened the employee, who then let the two women board the plane.
As a result of the incident, PAL decided to cease all flights to the city starting February 13.
Serves the asshole right.
Some might argue that it would not be the Fariñases who would suffer directly from the absence of flights but the people of Laoag.
Well, I say it serves them right too.
They were the ones who voted this guy to power. They are the ones who continue to pay reverence to that traditional political goon family whether it be of genuine respect or fear of reprisal. They are the ones who propagate these scum into our government.
I say let Laoag suffer for that.
Oh, I have to go and hide now because if ever anyone of the Fariñas clan finds this blog, I’m sure I’ll be hunted down and assasinated inside or in front of my own house.

Jon, you are SO RIGHT! I agree with every single word that you wrote in this post. For the life of me, I can’t understand why that lunatic is still in power and can intimidate and abuse people at will.
Oh, by the way, be sure that if they hunt you down and get you, it won’t turned out as if you jumped off the building … because I won’t buy that. LOL

Technically the lunatic part of that family isn’t in power anymore. Pero ang mga nasa position eh mga pamangkin na nila. As written in that article, mukhang nagmakaawa pa yung mayor ngayon na pamangkin ni Roger na huwag itigil yung flights. Serves *him* right too!
