A Chauvinist’s Guide to Tianggemonium (2nd of a Series)

December 23rd, 2005 · 6 Comments

The next step to saving yourself from suffering tianggemonium is by preparing yourself, and the number one rule in preparing yourself for battle is to know the enemy.

Oh no, the enemy is not the woman in your life who wants to shop. Let’s make that clear. ;) The real enemies are the tiangges and malls and bazaars that are popping up all over the place.

So the number one rule would translate to knowing the schedule of the enemy. Keep yourself updated on clearance sales, midnight madness, bazaar events, etc. If you know when your wife or mother would ask you to come with them to shop, you could best prepare for it.

Now that you know when to expect that dreaded day, here are some things you can do to prepare for it:

  • Make sure your gas tank is nearly empty. A short stop at the gas station is one way of delaying your agony
  • Make sure your cellphone is only 1 bar. How this is useful will be explained in the next article
  • If the shopping destination is a mall, check out movies and movie schedules. How this is useful will also be explained in the next article
  • Empty your wallet. Pay for that gas with your credit card. Pay for all of your bills in advance the day before the sale. This is helpful if and only if maxing out your credit card would not be too much of a hassle.

There might be some other stuff that I forgot but, basically that’s it. You’re ready to go.

one more thing. the “dying for religion” entry got me. It got me thinking that your mind is elsewhere while you’re driving. tsk tsk. :P

^^ and you are a coward.

I assume you could say that I am stupid because you are smarter.

Well then, if you think you’re so smart, tell me who you are. It would be such a waste not to be able to pick your mind and learn, oh wise one!
